This two-story frame house was built for J.M. Dixon, a miner. During the 1890s this residence belonged to J.C. Markle, a blacksmith. The structure is an excellent example of  the Aspen Queen Anne style, with a unique square, corner, 2-story bay window projection, in very good condition.
